OK! OK! The Beatles were obviously not in Scranton over the weekend, but to residents of the small town in Pennsylvania, it felt a little like Beatlemania. This past weekend, local fans of the show hosted the first annual convention honoring the show. I can't believe how the shows popularity has reached such a magnitude. I read that over 3,000 tickets were sold for the event. The convention lasted the whole weekend and provided fans with funtivities as Michael Scott would say, like "Office Olympics" and cast look-a-like contests. The cast minus "the main characters" played by Steve Carrell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, and BJ Novak were present. I must admit the idea of them not showing up to the event is upsetting. Are they too cool for school? I really hope it does not become one of those shows in which the main character develops a big movie career and eventually leaves the show prematurely (cough cough Steve Carrell). Anyways, Do any of you Office fans wish you would have caught a glimpse at some of your favorite Dunder Mifflin employees in Scranton?
